Part Time After School Instructor
(English Native Speaker)
Seeking a native English-speaking teacher for our afternoon programs to begin teaching 3 days/week after a 3-week training period. We are located in Nagakute City, not far from Fujigaoka Station (Higashiyama subway line).
More than just English learning, Discovery's 90~120 minute after school classes involve all subject areas using a child-driven approach to learning. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a creative, qualified teacher. We are looking for someone who truly fits our program. - Monday 3:30~6:00
- Tuesday 3:45~6:45
- Wednesday 3:00~5:30

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement subject-integrated curricula based on children's interests
- Create and manage documentation of learning (online and physical displays)
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences 2 times/year
- Maintain learning spaces and materials
**Candidates MUST be native English speakers, and should be certified in one of the following: Early Childhood, Elementary, or TESOL.

Qualifications
- Early childhood teaching license
- Minimum 4 years Bachelor's degree
- Preferred: prior work experience with 3-5 y.o.'s; Reggio Emilia Approach and/or The Project Approach; Multiple Intelligences Theory.
- We are *not* seeking an "English Teacher" or ESL teacher. Please apply only if you have an early childhood teaching license. *Elementary licensure may be acceptable depending on experience.*
- Applicants must be native English speakers.
Major Responsibilities
